When searching for properties, you can view your search results in Map view to help you find the best property.
Map view enables you to see where each property is located in an area.
You can also edit your search area by means of drag and dropping perimeter pins to specify your own boundaries of where exactly you want to live, and include areas that would otherwise be excluded from a standard circumference search.
- Visit www.zoopla.co.uk
- Click your desired department; For Sale or To rent
- Type in your Search area and basic search criteria, i.e. the number of Bedrooms, Max price and Property type
- Click Search
- Click Filters if you wish to further refine your search
- Alongside the number of your search results, click Map view
Map view displays up to 100 results on the map, if applicable. The 100 results will be the first 100 results based on the sort order that you have applied (typically, most recent).
Should you need to, you can make use of the quick search bar to access and edit your search criteria.
If you click Filters, you can define the Property type, Features, or add any Keywords, amongst others.
- Within Map view, a selection of pricing pins will display in your chosen area to indicate a property. White pins are standard property listings, Yellow pins are Just Added property listings, Purple pins are Premium listings, and Pink pins are Featured listings.
If you select any of these, that particular property will display in a popup card which you can click to view in greater detail, or, click the heart icon to save and add it to your Saved properties list
You can also edit your search area and specify your own boundaries of where exactly you want to live.
- Click Edit search area
- Click, drag and drop the perimeter pins to specify your own boundaries (the boundaries must create a closed polygon shape)
- Alternatively, click Draw from scratch
- Click on the map to plot a new, initial perimeter pin, and continue to click in order to add additional perimeter pins that specify your boundaries (the boundaries must create a closed polygon shape)
- Click View properties
You can also:
- Click Search this area to update the search as you move the map and view properties in your expanded search area
- Click More to open a sub menu where you can:
- Email all agents to contact local agents of your choice and tell them exactly what you’re looking for
- Create email alert
- Save this search
- Where there is more than one property displayed at the same address (for example a block of flats, or when two different agents have listed the same property), you'll see a number pin.
If you click on the number pin, a list appears displaying the number of properties at that address. Browse the properties, or click on a property to view it in greater detail
At the top of your Map search results, you can always click List view, to return and view your search results in the traditional list manner.
Your map searches will be saved within the Searches and alerts section of your Zoopla account.
